Developing consumer products is very different from the specialised equipment we produce. It must be optimised for cost, reliability in adverse environments, immunity to abuse and mishandling, and be carefully designed to be easy to use and support multiple regions and languages.

Alarm Clock

Daylight-simulation lighting. The SAD Radio bulb's LED engine produces progressive sunrise/sunset tonal stages for sleep and wellness applications.

Cooking Controller

Energy-efficient cooking. The Sous vide cooking controller from Clyne Oven steams food with a fine water spray and air convection held just below boiling point, using up to 80% less energy than a conventional hob while preserving texture, nutrients and flavour.

Supermarket Electronic Receipt System

We designed a wedge Tap&Tag which goes between a supermarket till and standard thermal printers, which intercepts the printing output and allows the customer to choose between a printed receipt, being emailed the receipt, or being shown a QR code where they can receive the receipt online. If the customer has a loyalty card, that can be read to obtain the contact details of the customer.

Not only does this save paper and help the customer store receipts, it also allows retailers to identify and track customers for marketing purposes.
