The Dual-Colour Chromakey Lighting Controller drives the ring of LEDs that mounts around a camera lens in a reflective-fabric chroma key system. Instead of lighting a painted green or blue screen, the ring projects coloured light onto a grey, glass-beaded backdrop; the beads reflect that light straight back along the lens axis, so the background appears saturated green or blue to the camera while staying neutral grey to everyone on set. Because the colour comes from the ring rather than the backdrop, there is effectively no colour spill onto the talent, the setup needs far less lighting and floor space, and the same backdrop can key either green or blue at the flick of a switch. The controller delivers all the power the LED ring needs together with fine, repeatable brightness control for a clean, fast key. It offers 0-100% dimming across 256 steps, a toggle to select blue or green LEDs, and last-setting memory so operators can switch colour and brightness instantly between takes. An LCD screen reports light output and power consumption, and the unit runs from either a universal 90-240 VAC supply via a 4-pin XLR input or from clip-on batteries for location work where mains power is impractical.
