SAD Radio Daylight Simulation Bulb is a bedside wake-up and sleep-support light engineered to simulate a gradual sunrise and sunset cycle while combining dimmable room lighting and integrated radio-based alarm functionality.

Daylight-simulation lighting for Seasonal Affective Disorder. The bulb produces progressive sunrise/sunset tonal stages for sleep and wellness applications. The design included an LCD display driver, DAB and FM Radio receiver module with Service and Programme Information display and Presets, Date, Time and Alarm support and Speaker and Headphone Driver. Hardware and Software development down to a challenging budget were all carried out in house and testing in the UK, Europe and USA (differing radio standards, DAB+ and FM for European configurations, and HD Radio plus FM for United States) and EMC approval were all completed successfully.
